I have been hard at work converting some vintage Ensoniq ESQ-1 patches into PCM Wave files for sfz, Kontakt and a Reason Refill.
In the meantime, let me tell you about what I am calling the “Ensoniq ESQ-1 Cassette Trilogy v2.0”.
Essentially, it’s the full set of 40 Ensoniq ESQ-1 Factory patches in PCM Wave (.wav) format, split into three collectable chunks.
1) Part One of the ESQ-1 Cassette (Trilogy) Pack is now available at Bedroom Producer’s Blog. It features 11 “all new” patches (01-11) based on Int v2.0 of the original factory patches – which came with my ESQ-1 on an orange cassette, way back in 1987. There are 22 unique patches issued in v2.0 and were not included in our first Reboot issued in October 2014 (which was based on Ensoniq’s later v3.2 patches). Part one gives you eleven of them.
2) Part Two (Patches 12-22) has now been released as at 4th March 2015. This features a further eleven unique patches from Int v2.0. Click on the picture (or the button) below and complete the purchase process at our shop to receive your download link.

3) Part Three (Patches 23-40) is available now. Note: the final 18 patches ARE duplicates of the patches released in what I am calling the “Original” (v3.2) Reboot, though completists amongst you may want to collect all three parts anyway, merge them into a single folder and use them as a complete 40 patch set as per Int v2.0. P.S. Can you have a 4 part trilogy? There is now also a Reason Re-Boot available for $5.00 for the same 40 patches/presets as Parts 1 – 3. I am calling it Part 4, but it is a standalone pack – for Reason Users only.
